Hubby has been away for a few days and living in a motel.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.... it makes them realise what they have waiting for them at home..

When I was about 21 a mate asked me if I would give him a hand on his considerably large property. He asked me to help him out in the shearing shed and broom up the scraps and such and be a general hand around the joint for about a week.
All the meals were supplied, breakfast, lunch & dinner. What usually occurs is they butcher one of the sheep and that's what the cook feeds everyone. Leg of mutton, pies, rissoles, chops, etc all served up with copious amounts of veggies and gravy. It was surprising how many different ways this cook could use a sheep. God, I was so sick of those meals by the end of the week.
So after the week had finished and everyone dispersed I was ready to head home to my then new wife and relax.
Upon arrival I was greeted very warmly by my lady and she politely told to go have a shower and dinner would be on the table when I was finished.
I thought yum, this is fantastic, what more could a fella want.
On my way to the bathroom I yelled, " What's for Dinner. "
The reply..................
Leg of Lamb and baked veggies.
Oh god
:_|
I would have been happy with Baked Beans :^O
