the far south coast of new south wales

is where you all should dwell

the sea and surf is perfect here

today it's many metres high

the wax heads are all stressing

they can't get out, the seas too high

Not sure Cue, I remember we called that kind of footwear "flip flops" though, but you didn't see them too often depending on where one lives.

I Bet Ugg boots would come in handy, but I'm sure Canada has it's own version of those.

Oh yes indeed, especially where it get below minus 20 - 30.  Mostly those kind of boots are the waterproof kind with a special thick felt like fabric inside that could be pulled out and dried, lovely and warm too.
