I'm liking it :-x
Maybe it's because of all the natural disasters going on atm people are less focused on petty little things?
Whatever - it's nice 🙂

I want some.....do the Yanks own the rights to your native uggs too?...lol They own ours & Waltzing Matilda...why would they want that?
The sheepskin ones here, aren't water proof. Do they sell the Canadian ones in Oz?
BTW, it's Kiwis that call thongs Jandals & Canadians & US call them Flip Flops...either way, they're both wrong....it always was and always will be the humble Aussie Thong.

Right on all counts Cue.
I think though, that the Americans didn't get away with trying to steal that brand from Australia exclusively. I don't know about them owning 'Waltzing Matilda'?
Those boots aren't waterproof here that's true. At home, all the snow boots are and you can get them here in Australia and around the world. I still have two pair from Alaska and Canada, but can only wear them when it's considered "cold" here because they are meant for -30 and below.
We wore our snow coats to Cradle Mountain and even though it was below zero, had to take them off because it was too "hot" .... :^O
As for the thongs, I can't get used to them.

Jandals are Kiwi, we also sleep under a duvet not a doona.
When I went to Australia I was told off for calling a Doona a Duvet now I am back in NZ I get told off for calling a Duvet a Doona.

Lion, when I was living in NZ, I got payed out on after asking for Durex ...you know sticky tape....apparently not over there....they put it somewhere else....lmao.
Must be awful pulling it back off with all that glue...lmao

Me too Katy ... :_| .. always knew them as a 'Duvet', not to mention a mountain of other 'Australianisms' I had to get used to, but must admit I like .. still don't know them all yet though I suspect .. 😛
"Drop bears" was one that really got me .. :^O

There are lots of differences aren't there lion. I get tripped up all the time when I go back for a visit. I sometimes feel like I'm translating in my head the whole time.
backyard = garden
mobile = cell
swimmers = togs
(golf) buggy = trundler
corner store = dairy
There's heaps more, but I just can't think of them atm.
