I would probably do it too... other people's children annoy me.

Teacher Priscila Davo Ortega suspended after sticky-taping mouths of giggling 10 year olds

A PRIMARY schoolteacher has been suspended for cellotaping over the mouths of her 10-year-old pupils after they refused to stop giggling and talking.

Priscila Davo Ortega, 27, allegedly lined up more than 20 children during her art lesson and put layers of sticky tape across their lips because they were being too noisy.

OMG the same thing happened with a female teacher my son had in year 3. Many of the children began to act up refusing to go to school, sleep walking, and bed wetting, after the Mum's got together and compared notes it was discovered the teacher had not only a drinking problem but also had a record for kleptomania and had been banned from the local CBD due to her light fingered past. She also had a flask in her desk.

We had a teacher that was well known for throwing young boys across rooms and against brick walls... The kids were little **bleep**s but that did not excuse that type of behaviour.

i speak up because i was brought up that way. we were taught to . the political discussions were quite charged at times, years after my fathers death my mother met another man who had also lost his spouse young. he was a fine person, a liberal MP in fact.  they don't make them like him anymore .

If I went home and told my parents that the teacher had had to sticky tape up my mouth to keep me quiet I would have got and deserved a smacked bum!

I didn't tell my parents much! Lol

Gosh yes, there were some real horror stories regarding cruel teachers in the past. I was taught by the nuns, nuff said for cruel teachers *cranky face*

I was educated in a Catholic girls school, by nuns. I was never abused nor hit by any of them. (My little brother was beaten by one until my mum threatened her with the same.)

My OH tells stories about his school that make me cringe. I thought he was making it up 😞

My son was the victim of a nasty principal who was removed from the school "on stress leave" after we made formal complaints.

I would probably want to tape the kids lips together too. I would only want to teach well behaved children who want to learn..not realistic at all. However, I don't think it is acceptable for a teachers to tape the lips of their students.

My niece is a high school teacher in QLD. Does each state still set their own teachers salaries? I remember her saying she got paid less than a NSW teacher on a starting salary. She earns quite a bit less than her OH who has a pretty stress free not particularly skilled job and who doesn't have work to bring home to complete like she does.
