Lionrose is not sure if we have done blue before and nor am I but if we have we'll still do it again this week,
Have fun everyone, I am sure we'll get some great shots.

I'm sorry Lealta. I did vote for you and I totally forgot. It's part of the challenge and it has to be a photo that you took yourself.
Great pic though and I'm so glad that you have a little bit of fun.
I did the same thing myself and then realised that I was in the photo so I couldn't have taken it, it was just on my computer and probably taken with my camera or phone. I even went to the effort of cropping myself from the photo without cottoning on until I had posted it.

Well I've gotta say, some fabulous pics in this thread.
Just had a look and too many good shots to know which to tick.
Don't worry cat, lealta will probably win anyway.
Afterall the must be your own pic is more or less to rule out posting pics retrieved from the internet or borrowed photos.
I am sure pimpy would agree, it's your own work, just had someone click the button for you.
This thread has some of the most creative ideas yet.

I got caught by the same rule. I don't think it is (mine wasn't) a blatant disregard, just getting caught up in the theme and actually forgetting. I have to stop and think who took the photo sometimes.
Please don't take this wrong, but how do we really know who took any of the photos.
I knew it was lealta in the pic, but it still didn't occur to me it had broken the rules, because it is such a fun pic.
At least lealta you got a private message. I was told on the chat thread.
I guess though the bottom line is that the rules have been in place and we do know them, and they are there for a reason which I assume is to prevent using pics from the net or a proffessional photographer.

Let no good deed go unpunished. I messaged Lealta to ask her if anyone asked about her photo as it looked as though she did not take it and that it is an infraction of rule #1. I also mentioned that if she used a self-timer, that it would have been a good idea to add that comment so there wouldn't be doubts as to who took the photo.
I ended the message by saying, “I don't know that anyone would challenge the eligibility of your photo if it wins, but it could create an embarrassing situation for you if someone does. Just a heads up....”
So much for trying to help out another poster.

No, the Smurf is ineligible Kopes.

All good, personally I would not have done the 'good deed' and messaged the poster but just let it go, (all in the name of the Aussie spirit of fun) but realise you did it without malice, so I apologise if I offended you.
Rules are rules, I agree, but still feel the fun get's lost in the fine lines of some rules (ie: a photo of yourself, not taken by yourself) fine line at best, well picked up though, very observant.

Do you really think it should kope. Wouldn't it leave the door open for splitting hairs on other photos.

I can see one person taking the fun out of it right now
