PAEDOPHILE Dennis Ferguson chose to end his own life by suddenly stopping his diabetes medication, telling supporters he blamed police for making his life a living hell.
"This will show them," Australia's most notorious sex offender said in the days before he died at his Surry Hills flat, a Department of Housing property on Poplar Ave, a stone's throw from Sydney Grammar and other schools and childcare centres. His body laid undiscovered for several days before being found last Sunday.
Ferguson's biggest advocate, the Justice Action group campaigner Brett Collins, says police continuously "undermined" the 64-year-old's efforts to redeem himself and tipped off media about his whereabouts on at least two occasions.
"He said to people (when he stopped taking insulin), 'That will show them'," Mr Collins said.
"What we're saying is Dennis Ferguson was killed by the police."

Hang on a bit.... didn't someone ask what can be done with them earlier in the thread? LL maybe?
This was my suggestion.....
I am sure the details could be worked out.
Their human rights are already being violated....Ferguson was hounded out of towns, attacked, made to feel unsafe.....people are happy he is dead........
As to the listed people.... I was talking about professions of those paedophiles, so they can have their own society/housing/interests etc....not "who" they are, which would allow them all those comforts.

So who pays for this island of utopia for them? The man was a self confessed scum which was evident in his disregard for limitations put on him. I for one are glad that this grub is dead.
who pays for them now? where is Fergusons last partner in crime? he was released in 1999.......

would you have two different places for the men and women?
would they be entitled to welfare benefits etc?
I do like the idea of segregating them from mainstream society, but if they have served their "time" is it fair to penalize them further incase they reoffend?
Do all s** offenders reoffend?
Or is it like the only penalty - offend of this nature and the penalty is a life on anthrax island

I still dont believe he's dead, I wanna see photos before i believe it.

I am sure you could find those stats Crikey.
I have read about them.....recidivism seems to be an unknown...due to so many going unreported.

well then, it would have to be the actual penalty, I think. I mean - offend once and its a free ticket to a life on anthrax island.
I don't believe that a precedent should be set where crimes can be punished before they happen, so sending them there in case they reoffend would not be good IMO.

so, what would your solution have been for Ferguson?
on 06-01-2013 09:50 PM
I'm amazed that he thought they'd care.
