Do you use them?
We always have a big stack of them delivered to our units. 15 Units, so 30 white pages directories. Only one tenant uses them. the rest go in the recycling bin. What a waste of paper and ink.
"All but 2 per cent of the heavy White Pages phone books that used to be delivered around Melbourne and Sydney went straight to the recycling bin, it has been revealed."
"Many Australians have ditched their fixed phone line, preferring to use the White Pages online, store all the contact numbers they need in a mobile phone, or communicate through social media and email."

now there is a smart idea.
The small one's they have now the print is so small it's unreadable and attempts to get a real ph book has been a waste of effort

I have used mine.. I pull the little map out and keep it in the car so if I need to I have directions.
But we are a smaller community and our books are a lot smaller.

We dont get the white pages now here in Vic.
Those stupid yellow pages, we get them but need a magnifying glass to read them.......they are as good as useless.

Not sure if this is still valid as Telstra has just sold Sensis.
Everyone has a choice and Sensis allows you the option to choose how you use White Pages® and Yellow Pages®. If you would prefer not to have the print directories delivered you can cancel delivery by ringing 1800 008 292 or by visiting www.directoryselect.com.au.
Looks like they are making changes re delivery anyway.

In the past, the White Pages® Residential Book was delivered to every household in Australia, but the residential book will be distributed differently in Adelaide this year. This new distribution model for Residential books, has been conducted successfully in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth over the last two years.
If you live in Adelaide, the 2013/2014 White Pages® Residential Book won’t be automatically delivered to your home. You can still get a copy of the Residential Book - all that you have to do is order it.

There are three simple ways you can choose to order a copy of the book:
- Call 1800 008 292,
- Register at www.directoryselect.com.au, or
- Collect a copy from your local Australia Post outlet.
There is also no change to the way that the White Pages® Business and Government Book is distributed.

That makes more sense.
