I support RUOK

It saddens me to see just how few attend the functions. Especially when so many are touched by suicide. People still won't see mental illness as an illness. Sad.

Not everyone who suicides or contemplates suicide has a menatl illness but, yes, it is sad that stigma surrounding mental illness still exists.

RUOK day is tomorrow.

More people in USA attend functions/walks for the prevention of suicide, than in Australia, it is also talked about more in the USA, than here.

Not all people who commit suicide have a mental illness, but alot do.

My son suffered severe depression, when he took his own life in May. 2000.

It is a hard pill purp. I know.

My daughter left me in August 1999

I also know that not all suicides are due to mental illness.

There is a lack of understanding of suicide with too many judging rather than learning. Suicide is misunderstood and frowned upon by those who have never been there themselves or had loved ones who have. Very sad.

Freddie.........Very sad for their families and friends. They lived in a very tight knit community, all will be affected.

It is sad to think that the husband/father thought that was his only option.
