The big problem in this case is the spread of misinformation regarding working conditions for the green army participants.

is that the "real problem" then, nothing to do with the fact they will be "trained" in picking up leaves etc, for what jobs exactly? Just another pathetic attempt at blaming the unemployed for unemployment.
If there are no jobs available perhaps someone should let the TAFEs know.........they are still offering certificate courses in conservation and land management etc, people are paying good money for those courses too, must be pretty disappointing when they find out there are no jobs available.
