A reminder of the debt that Australia has, while Labor can bury their heads and deny it exists the fact remains we have a huge problem with debt and sooner than later the chips will fall, no business, no state and no country can keep operating in the red, eventually those we own the money to will own us. Who will own us?
The state of Qld has debt of $80 billion dollars, Labor are saying they don’t think it’s that bad, Bill Shorten on Australia’s debt, there is no debt crisis, there is a crisis and we are in this situation because of Labor, no one else and the bottom line is Labor can’t fix this problem, their speciality is creating debt not fixing debt.

Probably crossed paths with a lot of Parliamentary/Local Goverenment touring individuals from ALL sides during their "Study" trips/promotional missions/fact find missions/rorts of whatever they call them.
Well then...?

Well then if both sides are doing it what is Tony Blerk still doing in his seat when Ms Bishop was forced out of hers? And what's with all the finger pointing at each other?
With regard to "whistleblower" Bess Price, I totally agree with what Jilly said in post 1738
"It was a modest bill compared to the rorts of the likes of Labor and the criminal unions stealing millions from the workers.
I find it appalling that a full blood indigenous woman who has made it into parliament is attacked viciously by the left and is still fighting off the racism her elevation has engendered.
Racism spouted by the so called black mafia who are already in high paid jobs and have had the opportunity of a white education and grants, being of mixed race.
Well done Bess, we need more full blood traditional Aboriginal women like you standing up, then and only then, will our black brothers and sisters triumph over the death and destruction of welfare that has been the norm for traditional communities for over 2 centuries.
She should be lauded instead we got a mindless slur from the left."

Sky news has run a story about moves on Hockey 16 times this morning. Apparently 2 front benchers have been backgrounding the media.
I haven't seen it but my OH has and he told me. More to follow when I get the gen.

yeah I heard that on this mornings show as well, calls to dump Hockey. Can't see Abbott doing it though, he's very loyal to his team. Look how ferocious they were about Peta Credlin and the pressure he was under to dump her. Must say though, she's been very much not seen or heard since.

Immigration cancels 11,000 visas of non-genuine students
Immigration authorities have cancelled almost 11,000 visas of non-genuine students in the year ending June, an increase of more than a third compared with the previous corresponding period.
Phil Honeywood, chief executive of the International Education Association of Australia, said the present system allowed low-quality education providers to misuse the visa streamlining scheme.
“A key reason for ditching the current streamlined visa procedures is that too many low-quality education providers have been gaming the system, and this has meant students have been attracted to enrolling in such providers as an easy visa pathway to Australia,” Mr Honeywood said.
The most recent high-profile case of a college misusing student visas was early last month, when authorities raided the offices of one provider, accusing three Melbourne men of falsely enrolling international students, creating fraudulent documents and not providing appropriate education.
Instead, it is alleged international students were working as contractors for a labour hire business owned by the men, while continuing to pay high tuition fees to maintain their enrolment status and student visas.
Education Minister Christopher Pyne also has moved to push out unscrupulous education agents, announcing a code of ethics and a feasibility study into an industry-led quality framework for agents.
“The quality of the educational services that Australia offers to the rest of the world is an asset that we should protect and enhance,” Mr Pyne said.
“International education is Australia’s fourth largest export industry overall and our largest services export ahead of tourism, so maintaining our strong reputation for quality is important.”

This is a rort by students for years to get in the back door to Australia and then overstay, marry a Indian Australian citizen and get the gold pass into Australia.
Well done and it's about time this rort was closed down.
