and neither with Julia Gillard. The new Prime Minister will be Clive Palmer, according to himself anyway. Reckons he will put a candidate in every seat and he will be prime minister.
Interesting time ahead.

Maybe it's all designed to take the focus off Tone:-)

His party would fall into the conservative side of politics and would have very similar policies to the Coalition – except for five key differences.
1. First of all, lobbyists would be out. Completely
2.carbon txax....We think it should be abolished from the day it is introducd
3. Refugees.... "We don't think it is good sense to spend $5 billion or more every year on the naval blockade of Australia, right. We believe in a similar policy that they have in the United States and other countries, where people can board a plane, whether or not they have a visa, and then they're shuttled to the airports where there are people in facilities waiting to meet them. They are then interviewed, they are given a hearing and if they are found to not be legitimate refugees, they are put on the next plane back. You won't need detention centres, that's what every other country does in the western world
4. concentrates on the resource and value-rich regions, (those which profit from industries such as tourism and mining) receiving at least one-quarter of the wealth they generate for their communities.
5. take the mineral wealth from Western Australia and Queensland and develop processing industries in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, so that we can create more jobs.

Obviously this person has never understood the concept of the word "no" has no self control. Anybody who buys a daughter a $20 million ocean going yacht for a birthday gift is courting ridicule.
I feel sorry for his family & I was going to say Bob Katter but he's a mad as a hatter so he probably won't notice.:-p

Well, he is a very astute businessman... he has some very good ideas... but the problem is you can't steamroll over everything in your path.
I feel that letting him into politics will be like letting a bull into a china shop that has a big bank balance to pay for the damage...
His biggest dummy spit was because he was not given what he wanted regarding the train line.. I don't think he is very stable to be honest...

From what he said on the news tonight he is going for the throats of JG, KR and TA.
Bring it on, it will be a welcome distraction and bring some amusement into politics.
Maybe a stint on the biggest loser will give him some free advertising, he could replace big Kev.

I would be happy to accept the yacht but I would also need a speed boat (just greedy).
It is obvious he is an astute business man and we need a shrewd, intelligent business person to head a wise party to make decisive decisions. I don't think he has the knowledge just yet to cover all aspects of government but we never know he may learn, the others did.

I agree with Freddie, although I must admit sometimes Newstart's posts get lost among the other ones that get extremely nasty. I don't often see LL getting nasty at posters.
