Tony Abbott backed Pyne during IVF trauma

CHRISTOPHER Pyne has revealed Tony Abbott felt the Catholic Church's teachings on IVF were "misguided" as he provided moral support while the frontbencher and his wife were trying to conceive through the treatment.

Mr Pyne, one of Mr Abbott's closest colleagues, said the Opposition Leader was only ever "extraordinarily supportive" over the five years they underwent IVF treatments. Mr Pyne spoke out after Mr Abbott's chief of staff, Peta Credlin, revealed the Opposition Leader had allowed her to store her fertility drugs in his parliamentary fridge and cleared out his official bathroom for her use as she underwent IVF.

Now, I may be dim.... but really, Mr Abbott's personal opinions and actions in this, should not a news headline.......his Religious beliefs or otherwise do not have any place in Parliament, imo. His opposition to the Catholic Church's teachings are between him and his Church/God?

I Know mos tof you here atm do not want to hear this but this is to counter the attack on Abbott by Roxon & the other labor females to discredit Abbot this election year.

This is a deliberate Labor election tactic so if it makes you all feel justified reading this then none of you here have the slightest idea of what is going to be a very dirty election year by Labor with these tactics.

as soon as abbott began as lib leader it was always going to happen. he's dragged political debate in oz to a new low.

now its a matter of survival of the fittest (someone should have taken him aside and explained the difference between 'sport' and parliament. )

Utterly disgusting this topic and the attack from roxan and crew and the attacks on here are disgusting as well. Any one of you want to try IVF go on try it and see what its like emotionally for all concerned.

Disgusting and my total contempt goes to the people on here making remarks towards the women and the familys and the people that actually supported them.
