Oh, that reminds me........I had an Oster milkshake mixer..........talk about useless.....if you filled the S/S cup over half full, the stuff went everywhere...............some lucky individual over paid for it at a garage sale............

We had one of those too. Messy.
What about those snow man snow cone makers. Urgh.

It sits at the back of my utensil drawer unused, unloved and...well...useless ๐
My tin opener is in the back of the drawer, useless thing, a fancy one, suppose to be easy to use..........well I couldnt use it and neither could my OH, just a simple tin opener would do, but we have no use for them now.

Those choppers were useless as well, didnt chop properly, after a few uses, hubby put it at the very back of the cupboard.
I dont buy anything now, from set up stalls in middle of shopping centre isles, or adds on TV.

Oh, I have one of those snowman thingies.....OH bought it and it sits unused most of the year, until OH usees it when making drinkies but I like using my manual one......it's called a meat tenderiser !
I don't even have a toaster, use the grill, don't use a jug, heat water in the microwave for tea and pods for coffee. I really don't get all the "gadgets".
My best investment for the kitchen is a veg peeler I bought at Pacific Fair before we left the Gold Coast 20 years ago...cost $5 bucks with a lifetime garauntee.........it still works like new. You can buy similar but I've never seen the same ones again.
Have an elec hand mixer, cheap as chips, a blender........that's about it.
Kitchens do look all purty with colour matching doodads but I'd rather a colourful bunch of flowers on the bench than "stuff".

Agree totally, or instead of purty flowers, the now obligatory bowl of lemons.

One goodie I bought after watching an infomercial are the taco salad bowl makers.......simply pop a tortilla into the mould, and bake it for about 12 minutes.........I only use them occasionally, but they don't take up much room.
You can even make pastry bowls with them. Imagine one of them filled with Pina Colada trifle, topped with whipped cream..........

Once we paint the walls, I going to hang this in my kitchen 'n fill it with "cottagey" bits 'n pieces

Can't wait to see a pic karabine......think you have an old house like me. We had a new kitchen installed a few months ago.....such a difference and makes cooking a lot easier. I remember seeing pics of your kitchen.
I didn't know a bowl of lemons was the go at present lloyds lol......although I like citrus colours.

Thanks coffee ๐ My cottage is approx 100 yr old, typical 4 room workers cottage, with bits added here and there ( as they did ). We are slowly renovating it bit by bit but trying to leave the original features.
