If you read any foreign press, quite a few countries have things of their own to be chortling at. Greece, for one. The U.K., too. Their politics are an interesting read.

i sometimes read german newspapers. often it's the same news but sometimes you get a different view.

well, i am not a scientist but can only tell what i have seen.
we had real statesmen in germany about 40-50 years ago who were concerned about how to improve the lives of the citizens whereas now we have useless idiots hell bent on grabbing as much as they can before they are chucked out.
it's probably the same in other countries.
ppl say that it's the system that creates these monsters. i say: we had the same sytem 50 years ago and it wasn't like that. yes they were corrupt, but not to the extend of modern politicians who seem to not care a nickel about the population but only see their own selfish interests.
greed has become a virtue when it was regarded a sin not so long ago.
greed is destroying not just the society but the whole world and as long as it is regarded a virtue we are doomed.

We are on a journey. A jonty little track that is full of lies and backflips.
