WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I was pleased to break the 60 barrier. 

I would have been slightly better but #8 tripped me up as I tried a word that was a bit of an anagram.

I should have known better as this word has been out a few times before!

I haven't done the other word puzzles yet.

Word on the right … I had only one letter. The requirements of the word and the letters already played meant that there really only two possible words that were likely. I guessed wrongly on row 4, so I once again ended up with a row 5 completion.

Bottom left was the trickiest; I had it narrowed down to three possible words, and by row 5 there was nothing telling me that one was more likely than the others.

In the end I simply went for the word with the most unexpected ending, and luck smiled upon me.

Block 3 right and block 4 right (bottom right) both had their challenges. I felt I had to solve block 3 right first… There were 3 possibles, but if I played one of them, I’d also be able to rule out one of the possibles at bottom right.

I played it; it was correct! I could now solve bottom left with ease.

This word really had me puzzled for a while, I just couldn't think what it could be. The third try was just to see if I could get any other letter placements.

That top left word, I looked at what I had and thought.. surely not! But yep, it is the same word I mentioned was a bit of a weirdly popular one in octordle. What are the odds of it popping up on the same day in 2 different puzzles?

There was a challenge in finding which consonants were more likely to be present in the Left word. That didn’t help me much with the Right word, but the paucity of possibilities remaining did.
