WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I was quite happy with this result, considering the bad start. The answer was the only one I could think of, offhand, although later I thought of a couple of possible alternatives, so I guess I got lucky!

Didn't do so well with this one though, couple of mistakes along the way (one of their answers annoyed me) plus a couple of guesses at the end, trying to outguess the octordle makers.🤣

First mistake was #1, where I tried relit. Not an answer I loved, but after it, I guessed legit, although I would have thought it was a shorter, almost slang term for teh real word.

Then I tried plump for #6.

#4, even at the end, it was between three/threw, so I was lucky.
#8, immediately I started this puzzle, I was aware #8 was a rerun of the previous game's dilemma, stove/stoke/store.
I was able to eliminate store, so just like last time, it was between stove/stoke.

When I came up against this sort of dilemma previously, they did not repeat the answer, so at first I was tempted to try stove. But then I thought-it would be just like them to be counting on that, so i went stoke again. On my last turn. So I count myself as very lucky to have got through this game at all today!

 Yes, the double bluff I was afraid of.

I am not sure what they will do next time.

If it happens a fair way in the future, then my guess is they will pick a different word, but if it happens again soon, not sure which  way they will jump.

My eliminator was BUMPY as I was tossing between point/joint for #6 and I was pretty sure #5 must end in Y. I was thinking maybe milky but then saw filmy would fit too and I have seen that one out before, so i went with it. Lucky.

I found this one tougher going.

I made a mistake earlier on.

Turn 4, belch instead of leech for #3.

My luckiest move was towards the end for #2. I only had 2 vowels and when that happens, I usually try them in spots 2 &4 and I was going to try major. Then I saw I could try mayor and that would cover Y, which is usually more useful than J, so I went for that instead.

I think most of the words have been out before.
