I recently stumbled across WORDLE online. For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.
https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/
This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:
Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though). Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words. I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts. Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I HATED this!
Frankly, my score should be worse. I was full of uncertainty and thinking of using an eliminator… but I could see is probably another eliminator after that, so I thought, “Let’s just make a guess and wear the result”.
It was pure luck that those three particular guesses were correct. Luck, not logic … or only a modicum of logic.

Hmm. This was also a non-favourite as it felt odd… too full of repeated letters.

Oh, how nicely this worked out. The starter, for one thing, already gave me a very small set of possible answers, and my eliminator beautifully narrowed it down to just one.

This Wordle tried to be sneaky in reusing the “a”, but it could not evade the power of the Eliminator 5000™. Mwa ha ha!

What a relief after yesterday’s horrible Octordle!
I could immediately guess 1R (your #2), and then 3R (#6), which gave me an excellent start. I was tempted to essay a guess at 4R (#8), but there were a few possible answers there… Better, I thought, to use an eliminator now.

I almost played “adept” for 4R (#8). Had I tried “frown” for 1L, I’d still not have been sure about 4R – PLEAT or ADEPT?
And 1R was a risk; it could so easily have been BELLY.

I thought my first turn wasn't all that enlightening.😑
Second was a bit better, it needed to be!
Loower down, I used decoy as I could not decide between crown and drown for #1 and I thought oy was likely in #6, but I should probably have used something with dby instead.
Can't complain though, hindsight is wonderful and at least it is better than yesterday.
You played this intelligently, and although it went to the wire, every step is logically thought out. Yes, that lower eliminator could have used the letters you mention… but all in all, 👍🏻.
