WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Started off normally enough but soon reached an impasse.
Everywhere I looked, I could see more than one possible answer.
If I had been forced to choose, I probably would have said creep for #1 and charm for #6

But in the event, I went with another eliminator (wimpy). I have to admit, wight would not have been my first impulse in the classic, although it is always in there with a chance. Lucky winmpy sorted that out for me.
#7 was luck, could have gone either way for me.

This game was a little easier in that I didn't have to resort to another eliminator.

You'd think that with 4 letters exposed in #1, straight after my first turn, that I could have nailed it, but even with 4, none of my suspicions would have been correct.

With 4L, my immediate thought was pasty… but I’ve been the same situation a while ago where the answer was patsy. In the US, it’s probably going to be patsy, isn’t it? “Whad’ya think - you’re some sorta wise guy? I ain’t your patsy.”

I should have solved 2L (chest) before 1R and 4L. There was no other possible answer – but I’d skipped over it in focusing on folio/polio and quail/avail. Had I solved it, I could then have immediately solved 3L (cinch). It’s not as though I’d have had any further information for the remaining words… but in the event of my making a mistaken guess with either 1R or 4L, I’d at least have a better score.
