WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

This was considerably easier to solve than some of the recent Octordles. Apart from 3R, one word led inevitably and elegantly to the next.

I can’t really explain why I chose ample rather than angle; did I have in the back of my mind an idea that I’d already ruled out N and G? I wasn’t consciously aware of that but I did have a firm conviction that it was ample.

For 2L, I was hoping that there’d be some illumination; was it eagle, legal, bagel…? I never thought I’d say this, but the booze helped me to get the bagel. 🤭

There did not appear to me to be anything I could clearly guess after turn 1, so on I went to my usual turn 2.

After that, they fell like dominoes.

I hesitated on my third turn though as #6 seemed obvious but then I thought... surely not again, is there anything else it could be, this might be a trap. But it wasn't. Flavour of the month word.😂

This gave me disappointing results after turn 1.

Even after my second turn, I didn't think I had much hope till I saw #6 and thought.. you might be able to do this one if you try.

You'd think #2 would be easy with 4 letters exposed, two of them green, but i had to leave it as I could see 3 possible answers. There may have been more but that was enough to be going on with!! 😂

Then I thought-at least try to think of possible answers and target the letters, but I couldn't think of any words offhand, except manic. So Itried that and immediately, immediately as I pushed the tab I thought... oh no, panic.
As it turned out, it was neither of them. The answer was clear after turn 2.
