I recently stumbled across WORDLE online. For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.
https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/
This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:
Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though). Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words. I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts. Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Again, you can see all of the could-be bunkers on this word-course, just waiting to trap me. The most notable one is 4L, my final word: yet again the ratty-warty-party dilemma. I chose warty this time because it was party last time.

Alas, a really stupid, impetuous move on turn 3. It could have been avoided if i had paid greater attention.

I actually solved one on turn 2, so i felt quite chuffed.
One of my old eliminator words!
But after that, it was harder and I had to use a couple more eliminators.

Things didn’t look wonderful after the starter. But LOGIN gave me all of the remaining letters. The rest was as easy as opening a window.

An excellent result! I thought you’d get this in 2, and had this medal prepared for you: 🏅

I wanted an eliminator with O and U, that included L and S or N, and with B or P as I could see already they’d reveal crucial Octordle information. LOBUS did perfectly well; I could solve the next three words without a hitch.
Then came 4R. Grill/krill. It is usually grill, and so it was here. (But this was the bit where I sensed that rickety bridge/rocky chasm.)
That removed the possibility of frame, brake, brave for 2L, leaving only grape, grace, graze. Choice needed, and it was a lucky one.
3L - I had only yellow: U, E, R. With the remaining letters, Octordle could only offer two possible words. One of those was an Octordle stalwart (purer) and I decided to play it. Luck, again.
Finally, the final word at 3R… It could have been worst or roost, but with the R in 3rd position (from purer) now showing yellow, worst was ruled out. Bridge safely crossed.

Gut feeling with cedar - what a risk! But my instinct went from “clear?” to “cedar!” in a nanosecond… My logic took a back seat and gut feeling took over.
Ocean (4R) was obvious.
I wanted an eliminator with U and I, S, L, possibly B or H or P or G… I chose hilus and that gave me heady which gave me devil and hitch.
I could have made a guess at 3R - bully, fully, gully, pulpy, bulky - but there were fewer risks with 2R. Skate was lucky, and it solved 3R as well. That left 2L - a 50/50.
