I recently stumbled across WORDLE online. For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.
https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/
This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:
Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though). Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words. I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts. Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Yes, it’s certainly replete with repeats. In particular, the state of the candle, what’s on the wall, the beverage, and ironically the top right word which I left till last as I wanted to eliminate possible letters from its second position.

Aaagh! That word (bottom left) has got to give it a rest! It’s appeared far too frequently.
For bottom right, I suggest being careful with guessing one of the letters.

This was a pleasing Octordle. There were a few new words, and one rather sneaky one for block 2 left.

I'm only getting a chance to be online tonight, had some grandkids overnight and guess what, my 8 year old granddaughter, first thing she asked this morning was if she could do wordle!
Well, you can probably guess what our opening word was. None other than zebra.
She uderstands the basics of how wordle works but has trouble coming up with new words to try.
I felt sorry for her after this (on wordle unlimited) as she had a word that ended in 'ary' and came to me later and said she had been trying all the letter combos she could think of, even silly ones, but nothing was working.
The answer was 'ovary', a word I don't think she has even heard of.
Anyhow, this wordle, we were lucky to get it at all, given our 'choice' of words.

The bottom right didn't give me trouble, mainly because I had the 'age' ending early plus an extra 't' so there were limited possibilities.
Can't believe the bottom left was out again.

Despite the high score (which is bad news in octordle), it flowed reasonably easily. I blew out the score by trying hussy instead of husky and sloop instead of spool.
I left the 3rd one till last although I was reasonably sure what it probably was, even though I only had the letters 'ue' (in correct 2/3 spot) because there weren't that many other letters left.
