WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

This was one of the most deeply satisfying Wordles I’ve encountered. Instinct drove me with regard to the eliminator, and from there it was straight to the solution.

I really didn’t want to be whittling down the kind of m, p, y, z. It was sheer stubbornness that had me trying to solve that final word without using muzzy or bumpy.

I did do octordle yesterday but time ran out for me to post in the morning, so I'll do it now. 

I can't remeber the scores though. 

Faked was an eliminator to sort out stork/storm, vocal/focal(hoping it wasn't local) and umber/udder

I can't remember much about this, except I think I had fingers crossed with #6 that it wasn't gamer.

And I can see I made a mistake near the end on #1 with leapt instead of exalt. Because it was at the end though, I think my score in extreme was better than in the classic.

My happiest moment was solving #5 on my third turn. Pure guesswork, but just couldn't think of anything else.
Eliminator on turn 5 though (fudge) as some of the other spots seemed to have several possibilities.
I was hoping #6 wasn't harpy but that was used very recently so I took a risk they would not use it this time.

Pricy eliminator on turn 4, but I was having trouble pinning down any other answers for sure.
Even after the extra eliminator, I was lucky to get through.
Was #8 gauge or mauve, was #1 pores or poser (I was inclined towards poser because they rarely end words with an S, but I thought pores might be an exception.) Was #3 crier or cried?
So.. lucky to get through at all today!
Plus a mistake on #7. I had ruled out hurry & humpy so i thought huffy was the most likely answer.
I can't say I love hubby as an answer. It is pushing it!
