No problems with cultures though, they are what they are, and cultures can be magnificent ... trouble is, once the religion creeps in to take control of a whole culture, there you have the problem.
People would be better off without it in my opinion. They most likely would still fight each other, however, they could take personal responsibility for that .... 
Back on topic though, a new christian military order would be just another religious killing system in my opinion. What would be the point, there are plenty of those around to fill up the gaps that are as bad as one another. Christians killing christians, muslims killing muslims, by any other name, it's all the same ....

You missed the context, but that's okay.
Cultures in that context does not include whole nations, but the word is used, for example, a/the culture of cruelty and control over certain people as a religion, sect, cult etc.

I don't find the opposite to be true in all cases. It is a deeply complex and wide topic, but one I don't get into shallow arguments about, rather, discussion xx
