Some examples of abstract photography can be seen HERE
Abstract Photography
Like abstract art, Abstract photography concentrates on shape, form, colour, pattern and texture. The viewer is often unable to see the whole object. The focus is often only a small part of it. Viewers of an abstract shot may only know the essence of the abstraction or understand it by what is implied. Normally the object or image will not be a literal view of the subject. The subject tends to come second to seeing…

@artfulcreations4all wrote:I feel stupid now for posting the foot picture. I mean, it's quite obviously a foot. Nothing abstract about it. It was too late for me to edit it out. Please just pretend you didn't see it! LOL. TIA.
The theme is a Prompt, not a hard and fast rule. The concept of these threads is to make people more aware of their surroundings, to look at things in a different way, see the beauty in this world, to stop and smell the roses if you like. It's not about photography skills, although seeing what the clever people do gives us inspiration to try new things.
If you looked at your sisters boot and thought of this challenge then it's already a winner. (and the end result of an abstract thought process perhaps? LOL)
It's been a lot of fun seeing what people notice in their day to day lives and come back and post in these challenges.

Warm weather is finally here! 24c yesterday, sunny, low humidity and if I weren't working it would have been the perfect day.
I was walking along and it could swear there was a snow storm. I've never seen this before and didn't have my camera. Ahh, but I have a camera phone!
Maybe not as good, but it's a clear picture and that "stuff" in the sky isn't due to my phone....it's pollen or seeds? So I picked up a flash drive to load it here....(although I can't get the size right)...
Snow in the summertime.

Yes, it really was a sight. I had to keep the photo at that size or else you could hardly see the "snow". And yes, the allergy sufferers were crying, lol. (sufferers? :))
You do mean 23 centigrade don't you? Hehehe. I love that temp...I can work hard and hardly break a sweat.
Oh...and I liked the photo of the foot. 🙂

ah, but a section of the grass might be useful. why don't you have a play with that? besides, at least 3 people liked it...

wow pimpy, that's amazing. you've infused so much colour and depth into a really mundane subject. impressive. it's a work of art.
i have an aquaintance (artist) who won an art competition using those colours in her abstract painting. they work really well together.
