A rather unique and expensive Woman LOL watch from Bali. The horse goes around and around and around.

A family heirloom that I was to scared to open (other than the main front piece) unless I broke it, did a bit of research the other day and am now able to open two back pieces and from there found it was made in 1909.

Two 'timepieces' for the price of one!

The curfew bell was rung at 9.50pm every evening in the Swan River Colony - to give the ticket of leave men time to get back to their digs to comply with their parole conditions.

The black ball on the mast is a 'time ball' which, in conjunction with a cannon firing (the Dockers cannon of course) is dropped every day at 1.00pm. Before the invention of a chronometer enabling sea captains to accurately calculate longitude, this was used to enable them to set a secondary clock on board and calculate time difference between their home port and Fremantle.
