Southland, NZ covered in a blanket of snow 1996.. heaviest snowfall in 50 yrs at that date.. Lowest temp -13 overnight.

Clearr skies and no wind, snow didn't melt for over a week.

As above.No water in the house, pump froze and cracked, but we could get it out of the tank. A lot of  houses the frozen pipes burst in the roof, and flooded the houses..firemen filled up baths in houses for water.
