trying to repeat the shot was the hard part, it was just dumb luck i managed it once.

Lind...........I used to make those pictures for the grand children.........the colours are not showing very good in this picture

Lakeland, no, no butterfly wings.
Flashy has the answer I think. The painting is done back to front on glass with special transparent glass paint. Then one crinkles aluminium foil very tight and then smoothes it out again. (a tedious process, because one has to be careful not to tear the foil) After the paint is dry the foil is the backing to make the colours sparkle. One just mounts the picture the usual way with a cardboard backing and clips to the frame.
Hope this helps anyone else that likes to try a different way of painting.
