I saw this posted on my Facebook page. So much for his promise to stop the boats. Seems like we might have a few more landing on our shores now.
SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES: There could be an influx of asylum seekers in the wake of Australia’s spying scandal.
A senior Indonesian immigration official has apparently told local media he will no longer take measures to stop asylum seekers trying to reach our waters.
We’ll bring you full political coverage tonight in our evening bulletin on Channel 9.

I would not be upset if I never saw or heard from anyone of them ever againa and they can all go to H - - -
You can disagree all you want, but people who are actually qualified to make judgement all say that we need Indonesia more than they need us. Australia really has to come to grips with fact that we are only tiny nation, we are not all that relevant to country like Indonesia. We are not the only tourist going to Bali, and they can easily get their meat from other places; as we were told by the LNP when the previous government stopped the export pending assurance of better treatment of our cattle.

I don't see Kevin Rudd rushing back from whereever he is to assist in solving this catastrophe, he has his head up his proverbial laughing his head off at the terrible mess greated while HE was PM.
I think Tony Abbott is being very diplomatic and strong, we cant just apologise for something that SBY is upset about when the Indonesians do the same thing.
We don't burn their flag, we don't threaten to hurt Indonesians in Australia, the difference is we are a better overall educated people who don't threaten violence at the drop of a hat because our ego is a bit bruised.
I will never visit there again.
BRAVO Totally agree.

With the implied hatred towards Indonesia, it sounds like a few in here would love to burn the Indonesian flag.... if they knew what it looked like.

Anyone who thinks they might fit that decription. Indonesia is not at fault here. The Australian governement is. They were the ones found bugging Indonesian officials so Indonesia has the right to feel somewhat irked. of course we all spy on each other but WE were the ones exposed. the say Richard Nixon's greatest crime was getting caught.

I read recently Indonesia was considering NZ to get their meat from.
Noone cares how that will affect Aust. farmers?
NZ already exports beef to Indonesia, and without the cruelty.
