Hi, pimpy, you made me laugh.
If some of my grandsons turn out to be bad husbands, a six foot pine box would not hold them at 6'6" tall.
At least I have no worries so far. They are loving and caring young men. I always told my daughters and my granddaughters; "Watch how a young man treats and respects his mother and how he talks about her, that is most likely the way he will treat his own wife."
In my long life I have found that this is 95% the norm, unless the mother was a monster of a woman and never cared for her children, so the boy grew up with no respect for women.
Not every father is a good role model for his children, (I can vouch for that) neither is every mother.
Personality traits develop over time and bad characteristics can be hidden by clever psycopath.
What makes a good husband?
The person you feel comfortable to be with. The person who makes you feel safe and cherished. Different people need different assurance of being loved. So in my opinion there is no hard and fast rule for what makes a perfect husband.

My ex adored his mum, their relationship was beautiful. However my ex was an arrogant pig who treated me like **bleep**, hence being an ex
My partner of 14 years hated his mum with a passion. He did not ever have a nice word about her or to her. He has never put me down, made me feel like Im less than human. He has been respectful and loving. So I dont believe the bolded statement is a general rule at all
