So the rabbit has just raced in the house from the back yard faster than I have ever seen him run with this black thing running behind it. In the blur it looked like a panther!
It was a freaking cat!
I've just spent the last 20mins trying to make the terrified rabbit safe whilst trying to get this stray cat out of my house. I had to boot the cat to get him to move away from the rabbit. And then he wouldn't leave the house.
The rabbit refuses to come out of his hiding spot and my leg is bleeding from being clawed by this blooming cat.
What the heck! It's not like the rabbit is a tiny little thing that could be mistaken for a mouse.
Why can't people keep their stupid cats inside? I am sick to death of not being able to keep my own pets safe and secure in their own house because people allow their cats to roam during the day.

Stray cats are trap savvy.
That cat sounds like an absolute beast Martini. Most cats are timid when it comes to sneaking into other peoples houses. I get them come in the back door during summer all the time and one look at them and they bolt.

meep I've never seen this cat before.
Or are you talking about for your place? If so, it is ridiculous that you should have to go to the trouble.
i was thinking more about my situation because its out of control but i guess you could consider that if the problem continues.....Just not sure if I could do it.

my yard is Switzerland or something...the cats use it to meet and greet with no territorial issues 😐
My dog hates it though and has smashed through the lounge room window to get the cat sat on the other side. Both animals were uninjured
It was upsetting watching a cat try and survive that had been hit by a car, myself and another neighbour trying to catch it. It disappeared though and the RSPCA were no help (no surprises there)
If I was in martini's shoes, I would have done the same. I have done the same and kicked a dog who was trying to go for my puppy. When it come down to its my pet or them??? Its a no brainer. But I was really upset at having to do it

As you may have guessed I'm a cat lover .. in fact I'm an animal lover full stop.
But I completely understand Martini's actions. For a cat to enter a strangers house .. this cat meant business. It was going to attack and probably kill the rabbit. I would have 'kicked' the cat too if I had to make a split second decision to save one of mine or a defenseless creature. Decisive action was needed to save another creature from being maimed or killed.

Rabbits stink! You better get it outside...yuck, vermin!
You've been smelling the wrong rabbits.
They do not all stink.

I think she is thinking of skunks, Freaki.

They will only stink if their environment is kept unclean.

meep, a question if i may,
If a dog came and started attacking your child, would you kick it to get it off them?
Yes, of course. I do understand where Martini is coming from but the way she described what happened made me :O:_| But at the end of the day, I wasn't there faced with that situation.
