I gave my lovely Kiwi boyfriend a Leatherman multi-tool thing. He seemed to like it? I don't think he was expecting it at all. He said he was going to take it to work to show the boys tomorrow!
I was stunned at what he gave me. He must have spent a fortune! 😮
2 dozen long stem roses - half red and half white!!!
AND
A bag that contained some adult toys - one that had a $99.95 price sticker on it!!!
OMG! We didn't end up going to dinner cause I said lets stay in and I'll cook for him (he was tired after work) and I felt like I didn't want him to take me to dinner when he'd clearly spent so much money already!!
arrghhh I feel like I should have gotten a better present!

Me too. A quick "Oh Happy Valetines Day" over the shoulder on his way to golf doesn't count 😐

ygg it sounds like you have a sad life going by your comments.
I have been married for 26 years and yesterday was our 30th valentines day together, I got orchids (don't like roses) and a swarovski crystal bird.
When we went out to dinner there were loads of other established couples and a lot of couples with their teenaged/ adult kids so I don't know where you get your ideas from.

I got him chocs and a personalised case for his i-phone.
I was spoilt.

Well when my 14yr old daughter walked in the door after highschool yesterday with half a dozen red roses in her hand I went AWWWWWW thinking she had bought them for me cause of my recent split (not that I ever got anything anyway).... Then she said, I know mum they're from Blair, and she had a huge grin on her face.
This boy has asked her to go out with him twice and both times she has told him that she is not ready to have a serious boyfriend, yet he still bought her flowers for Valentines. How cute is that?

I gave some roses made of chocolates to anyone I came across that hadn't receive anything. 🙂
The leatherman multi tool was a top idea. They are strong n handy to have in the car if not carried around. No doubt you will both enjoy the long stem roses. B-)
That is so sweet. My daughter gave away one of her roses to a friend who has a boyfriend that didn't get her anything. I thought that was really thoughtful as well.

you lot DO know that valentines day is NOT meant for established couples?
i guess not.
to the one that was taken out by her kids for dinner/lunch:
i hope not, but i have to ask: are you in a romantic relationship with said kids or can't you distinguish between mothers day and valentines day?
Nice username!! I am also a fan of Dragon Quest 😄
Don't mean to disrupt the thread, just noticed your name....
