I've seen some good movies based on true crimes. Many of them have been made in the UK and the US. I'm not really swayed by what Tarantino thinks of Wolf Creek. It was unnecessarily gory. Like Friday the 13th or Halloween.

Apocolypso? directed by Mel Gibson, couldn't watch it to the end was horrific and it made me bawl...so realistic.
The Divide, truly truly disturbing film still haunts me thinking about it.

Blair Witch Project because I can't understand how a movie where nothing actually happens can make me (and my big brave 16 year old son :-D) petrified stiff and jumping at the slightest noise.
Wolf Creek as nightmare inducing.

Last night my OH took me to the movies... to see Iron Man 3... I had not seen the previous 2 movies....... 😐
