Hey Bob! While we're on the subject of evolution, I was thinking the other day .... Yes, I do sometimes...
as I understand natural selection, things (animals, fish, people, etc) with the greatest advantages got to breed and they are the ones who survived where the ones with disadvantages did not??? Is that right?
ie everything that a species had that was an advantageous over another species - would give it a better chance of surviving??

It's not a case of advantageous over another species. It's more a case of selective advantages under a particular enviornment.

Yes, in other words, things adapted to their environment or things that weren't suited to and were unable to adapt to that environment either died out or moved to another environment.
So, what advantages / disadvantages made the split into the two separate chains - ie man and ape???

As I said the more you type the more you are exposed as having no idea. The question was what kept them alive as their vital organs evolved.Water air and sunshine are useless if the vital organs needed to process those things as a life sustainer have not yet evolved.TRY AGAIN!This time maybe think a bit first.
Do you actually understand evolution???? Have you heard of natural selection and random mutation?
Just for the record. I have never got anyone kicked off. I actually like having you on the board.

Do you get random mutation? You need that as well and not just natural selection. For a long time the scientist thought it was the bigger brain then evidence came it was first the ability to walk bipedally that seprated man from the apes. It's very interesting how humans evolved over time.
