I thought that it was time for a pet thread, so, what pets do you have?
I now only have 2 cats, 1 dog and 4 budgies. While I was holidaying on ebali, my old cat and old dog died as did all of my fish.

I have trouble in remembering the names of Santa's 7 pets. How do you do it? Would you care to elaborate on the species? From what architectural abode does their regimental march begin? And discipline; you must be an ant-whisperer!
DEB (I daren't reply to Poddster's post - all those names may have reappeared.)

we have a dog named Digger whose impersonation of a "rotary hoe on steroids" is nothing short of impressive and a
cat called Oddie.. who is.. well...... a little odd.
some friends say environment could play a part in this???.... but I dont believe them
he is extremely studious and we have high hopes for this cat

LOL. That reminds of when my kids were little. They tried to teach one of our cats to walk on two legs so that she can join a circus and to read. Sadly, she never attained circushood and remained illeterate until her dying day.

They are soldier ants attached to the engineering corps. As they all wear the same uniform, both male and female, I dont need to remember any particular name. All I have to do is choose any of the names on the list and to owner of the name steps forward.
Being soldier ants they can be a bit difficult to handle at times but they respond well to threats of antrid for unacceptable behaviour. 🙂
A grain of sugar goes a long way in enticing them to do the right thing 🙂

Prolific breeders too, strong and resilliant, and above all they defend to the death one of their own.
