"What's the first thing that comes to your mind when someone tells you they voted for...? ...Liberal in the last election?"
Well, i have never actually been in a conversation where who voted for who has ever come up.
But, if someone did feel the need to tell me they voted for Liberal, then i would say "Good job. So did I"

I would think, this is still a democracy, everyone is free to vote as they like. Thank God.

Let's see - That would be 41.3% of the voting population as against the 37.5% who voted Labour.

Well actually the votes were 32% Liberal Party and 34.3% Labor Party.

To me it tells that most of the people were sick and tired of the Rudd - Gillard - Rudd circus and wanted a change or to show their disaproval of the way Labor was behaving.
There is still not much choice. Both parties have selfserving, ignorant showponies as leaders. Nothing concrete or solid about any of them. It shows me that neither party is capable of choosing a real, honest and dedicated leader.
I have and will still be looking for an Independent person who will not be swayed and bow to billionaire pressure or resort to namecalling and insults to bignote themselves.

Nothing really, everyone is entitled to their own preferences be it liberal, labor or whatever else. It's what our voting system is based on.

I don't mean that all LNP voters are dumb. But it gets me thinking about how much (or little) they know about policy, political strategy and how easily they are swayed by low brow media.
I also wonder whether they have low levels of empathy and high levels of 'self' - and unfortunately this most often proves true.

Just most of them hey?
To be perfectly frank, the first thing I wonder about is how intelligent they are.
Wow .... you wonder if 41% of the populations is as intelligent as you, as that's what comes across.
