What's with all the patterns in clothes lately

So many times lately I've seen blokes on TV with a striped suit jacket, checked shirt and spotted tie, or some other combination.
It looks wierd I reckon.

Whats with all the patterns lately?   Its the current trend. Stipes, zig zags.....Pattern mixing is in, unfortunately.

It's called FASHION, and fashion sells clothing.

Womens fashions change with every season, so they buy more clothes to stay fashionable.

Mens clothing has been much the same from one year to another, so some bright spark thought about changing mens fashions as well to improve business.
