What's with all the unhelpful response posts when questions are asked? I ask this here in the name of Community Spirit because I sure ain't seeing much on the other forums.
Too many answers are short, incomplete and just plain rude. I recognise many of the answers are quite the opposite. I also appreciate that many of the answers can be found from the site map and too many of the questions are the same ones again and again and feedback and again. The people who have been contributing to the forums for a very long time have seen more than their fair share of the same questions and I wouldn't be surprised to hear a little sigh each time a question is repeated.
But, when someone is derided for asking a question, even a simple-seeming one, how can that person think this is a nice place? They come here for help, not mockery, belittlement or their situation dismissed.
Please consider your frame of mind before answering - if you are feeling frustrated or peevish, your answer may come across the wrong way.
Community Spirit... where did you go?

Instead of complaining about those posters who do answer questions you could try answering a few yourself and see how long you can do it without getting annoyed at seeing the same question asked 3 times in a few hours....and the answer can usually be found on the Site Map or elsewhere on the ebay site.

hi donnashuggy
I see I didn't word my comment about short replies well. I think I just meant incomplete... so didn't really need to say anything about it at all.
I don't need help for anything specific today, but thanks for asking 🙂

I do agree with you hezekiah a lot of the time but I can understand the frustration that must be felt with some of the questions.
I can't quite see the point in tagging answer centre questions with "sigh" and "unbelievable". I know we had a bit of a joke around here with tags (yeh, got the emails) but that is just quite a nasty way to treat new members that need some help.

It doesn't cost anything to be kind and helpful Clair, God loves helpers.
