What type of kitchen spoon is this?

it looks like a spoon rest to me Ora.

You put it beside your stove so that you can rest the spoon that you are using to stir your food with so that the drips don't get onto the bench.

I think you're right.

Here is a similar shape one. I used the ridge of the spoon rest like a pole driver to hammer the plastic scraper into the ice of my freezer. The spoon rest was good for scooping up small loose ice.

To help with defrosting your freezer, have you ever tried putting an ice cream container of boiling water inside? Hammering the plastic scraper in sounds dangerous!

The spoon rest would make a great little ice scoop though, I never thought of that.

But you really need a red one. All red things work best.
