I believe that in the last year of his term of office, Tony Abbott will become rather generous, softening his hard line and handing out bread and putting on circus shows for the voters.

We shall see a new, improved and maybe even chastened? Abbott, generously admitting that he had made a few mistakes and trying to bribe voters into believing him.
