Even though she is retiring  Gillard is totally absent from the Federal election stage.

You would have thought that as Australia’s first female PM that the labor party would have removed Rudds knives from her back, cleaned her up and dusted her off and put her out there to help in their lost cause to win this election.

BUT nope, Gillard is the invisible woman.... 

Is she that toxic still that the labor party feared her presence on the election stage that they have hidden her in some box somewhere?

Our first female PM has just vanished...

You are starting to sound like an echo of our now faded  Poor Me.

Gillard has gone because, like her elevation,  it was a populist/strategic move by the ALP machine reacting to the electorate (majority rules!!) and also a self interested Caucus.

The queen is dead, long live the king, for possibly only another 3 weeks though
