Where is the Ministry for Science?

What about Innovation? Research? Ageing?

Or even Tourism?

And how come Arts gets lumbered in with the Attorney Generals busy portfolio?

Yet Border Protection gets it's own ministry rather than falling under the obvious category of Defence. An entire ministry for a handful of people that apparently aren't going to be coming here anymore?

I do understand his decision for a specialised Ministry for Border Protection, as this was one of his promised areas for attention in the election. By having that as a specific section, this shows that he is committed to at least attempting to address the current situation and to also meet his promises. It shows the public that he was serious about that.

Considering that tourism is a major source of income for Australia, it does surprise me that there is not a specialised ministry for that. Perhaps Tony feels that it is one of the plates that are currently spinning fine without detailed supervision and attention, at least I hope so.

Yes martini but they are THE party that specialises in short-sightedness. Apart from the GST,what reforms did Howard introduce that had a lasting positive impact on Australian society. Nada.

cant think of a thing apart from harnessing fear of foreigners to electoral advantage. discord , a divided nation like never before was Mr Howards legacy.

I understand the Anzac Day thing, pursue nationalism. in addition to the fact that some of them are old enough to remember the war.

Wasnt that Julia Gillard that created the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC?

Do people expect the whole program to stop??

Tony Abbott's outer ministry:

Michael Ronaldson - Veterans' Affairs; Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC; Special Minister of State

More info:

Between 2014 and 2018 Australia will commemorate the Anzac Centenary, marking 100 years since our nation’s involvement in the First World War.

The Anzac Centenary is a milestone of special significance to all Australians. The First World War helped define us as people and as a nation.

During the Anzac Centenary we will remember not only the original ANZACs who served at Gallipoli and the Western Front, but commemorate more than a century of service by Australian servicemen and women.

The Anzac Centenary Program encompasses all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations in which Australians have been involved.

The Program aims to give all Australians the opportunity to honour the service and sacrifice of all those who have worn our nation’s uniform, including the more than 102,000 who have made the supreme sacrifice.

It also aims to encourage all Australians to reflect upon and learn more about Australia’s military history, its costs and its impacts on our nation. http://www.anzaccentenary.gov.au/

we are being laughed at for voting in a PM who doesn't believe in climate change and who thinks that the small (on a global scale) number of people seeking asylum in our Country  is our biggest problem and thing to fear (these being other human beings) and unique to our Country.

or perhaps he doesn't think it....just wants us to and believe that he will fix it for us
