I actually met someone with a science degree today who doesn't believe in evolution and KNOWS that all humans came from Adam and Eve.:O
"Why are there still monkeys today if humans evolved from monkeys?" is a common belief amongst creationists. Who here doesn't know the answer to this?
Who here doesn't think that evolution is the best explanation for all the different living species on Earth today?

Really??...... I am out of touch!...... Obviously!!........... All I can say is that belief changes with time and convenient "updates" follow a good soul search!
It's great isn't it. When another scientific discovery is made which contradicts the bible, you have to interpret the bible differently to make it fit. You really should read the evolution of theologen's interpretation of the bible. It changes with science. Remember prior to Darwin. It was accepted that God designed and created every species on Earth as indicated in Genesis. Yeah, that didn't happen either.

I would think Mediterranean a more apt description.

Yes Bob, what you say is right of course, my own observations over the years have confirmed it for me!!.... But as I said, I have lost touch!

Ummm, doesn't the truth matter. There should be no cultural variation of Jesus and Mary. You do realise where the bible was set right? Unless you're a Morman and believe Jesus visited America.
No biblical scholar think Jesus and Mary were white. They still depict them as white to sell Christianity. I bet ya there wouldn't be many following if they showed Jesus and mary as Middle Eastern or even black .
Well Bob, there are approx 35 million Poles who consider the Black Madonna one of the most if not the most revered image of Mary.
Ummm, doesn't the truth matter.
Why are you so concerned with how different cultures depict someone that may have not even existed? (according to you)
There should be no cultural variation of Jesus and Mary
Why? How should have the Byzantines depict them?
They still depict them as white to sell Christianity
Who is they?

The Christians that believe in evolution believe that God injected a soul in homo sapien at some point.
Fascinating. Which Christians believe that?

I thought you understood that the Bible is not a textbook of science therefore science cannot contradict it.

Where is Rabbit? I wish he would join the discussion. I find his posts re the Bible interesting even though we differ in our beliefs.

I am not sure Bob understands what the Bible actually is. Luke wrote his Gospel around 60AD, relying on the accounts of other people. He used historical texts and dates.
Matthew wrote his around that same time, from a different perspective, his own experiences and the other disciples.
Both wrote about different things, so naturally they will not be exactly the same.

Let's stick with evolution.
It's found that Hippos are more related to whales than they are to pigs based on DNA studies.
Amazing isn't it.
isnt it.....
whats the missing link?
