Who here doesn't believe in Evolution?

I actually met someone with a science degree today who doesn't believe in evolution and KNOWS that all humans came from Adam and Eve.:O

"Why are there still monkeys today if humans evolved from monkeys?" is a common belief amongst creationists. Who here doesn't know the answer to this?

Who here doesn't think that evolution is the best explanation for all the different living species on Earth today?

Bob, I don't know why you do this, but it seems like you are trying to take away all belief from the believers - and replace their beliefs with ..... what????????? we are all cosmic accidents? All the millions of species in the world are a result of some 'cosmic lottery' ???  Look around you. Watch one of the scientific / medical programs that deal with the intricacies of the human body and then tell me that all those billions of facilities that interact perfectly .... are just some chance???

But Rabbit, assuming mankind has free will and is not simply a puppet whose couplings are arranged and manipulated by a master puppeteer, is not every single human being currently inhabiting this earth the result of a gigantic lottery?

No thanks Bob, I am well past the need to have my beliefs questioned, ridiculed,  or otherwise, I can do that myself, a lifetime of learning, of making choices etc. I am happy with what I believe for now.

Yes, from a genetics point of view. If my mother had married another man instead of my father, I (as I am) would not exist - I agree with that.

BUT, what I am saying is those FIRST humans (we'll assume 1 man and 1 woman as that's what it takes to propagate the species, as we all know) - where did THEY come from if they were not from a PLAN / DESIGN??? As far as I know, we are the same now as we were 5,000 years ago - except for some minor adaptations to environmental conditions which is a whole subject in itself - the basic PLAN of human beings was always the same.

😮 please tell me your joking if you think all the species in the world arise by chance. Evolution by natural selection is the opposite of chance.

do you think religion is something that should not be questioned?

Once again, you are confusing me with someone else .... of course Religion should be questioned. It has been questioned ever since that first man protested against the Catholic Church (and probably before that) and nailed his letter to the front door - or wherever he nailed it - can't remember. I am the one, remember me, that questions EVERYTHING about the status quo as far as Religions go. I am the one who has argued the Trinity, Hellfire, Immortal soul and several other mainstream church teachings as being 'questionable'.

If you believe I make things up then it stands that the foremost Christian apologetics make those arguments up.

Bob, I'm a bit puzzled by your statement, "I consider the fundamentalists the only true Christians." Does that mean you also consider terrorists to be the only true Muslims?

How did you get from being a fundamentalist to a terrorist?
