Personally, I don't trust a man that dyes his hair. And I can't understand why he would given that some grey may (and I said 'may) make him look a little (and I said a 'little') distinguished.
But who am I to judge...

dyed 'tuft' is more like it. i think you forgot an option where his hair is dyed to double its volume.
it's not a particularly masculine thing to do is it? younger blokes can get away with it, but he looks foolish.

Tony Abbott is 56, I am older than him and I still dye my hair, so I can't see a problem with it.
Its okay for Joe Hockey to look after himself but not Tony Abbott?

His hair, he can do what he wants.... my BIL is 58, he dyes his but it promotes giggles in the family (his family, not mine) as it is too dark and he waits too long between dyes.

I was looking at Abbott earlier and thinking there was something wrong with his hair cut ... I didn't know he'd dyed his hair. I'm watching him at the moment and he's next to a guy with lots of hair which is really nicely cut and gently greyed ...

I don't like the 'mind' that lives under his hair....can't change the colour of that I'm afraid.
