Earlier I had pasted that I did not like the UN.. that is was not good for our country and that we should leave it....
Have a read.. proof is coming out that the UN will not work for us and in fact is trying to steer us into a way of life that we do not want.

Yes.. I did read the article... but it was the statement that the UN Climate Cheif and his reference to Communism that is the worry.
The article itself if good... as you can see in the OP I was referencing the comment I made a short time ago about the UN and that I like them and I think we should leave...
The reference to Communisim being good for something is a worry for me.
Iza.. why did you go off the way you did??? I am sick of you turning everything into an Abbott/Liberal hate fest...
This is a topic about the UN and why I don't like it... it has nothing to do with what you posted. Stop trying to turn this into another political debate.

Topic makes as much sense as "Why I hate tomatoes" It's because they are red (unless they are green).

Well Boris.. I could not be bother to search through and find the one post in a thread I could not remember and make my point...
There are many people that think we should leave the UN.. they are not there to protect the people until half of the people in your village have been slaughtered... then they will need a meeting in an expensive boardroom with meals provided to hold a vote first... then a country such as Russia or China can vote against doing anything to help becuase they think the dictator in charge is all good despite the fact that there have been chemical weapons used against villagers including children.
But that is ok.. if you think that this is not an important topic you can go post one about hating tomatoes...

No cat. The article is NOT about Communism. You have misinterpreted everything about it.
What the climate chief is saying is that China can implement policy quickly which is what they need to do because they are the worldss biggest polluters. So fortunately for them, because of their system of government, they don't have to argue out what is best for a country in a drawn out senate.
And why on earth would any suggestion that communism is "good for something" (which BTW is not what the article suggests) be a worry. Communist principles are aspirational. Whether they work in practice is another matter. That line is simply paranoia.
And by the way, the Un Climate Chief is a she.

We should rid ourselves of this Albatross & all that its slimy tentacles have infiltrated.
I have no time for it or any of its subsiduaries. It is a self perpetrating monolith that has wowen itself into every part of Australian policy.
I love red tomatoes by the way, grow them actually, but what has that got to do with this post? better not harm the petals

As cat said earlier there are no "leanings" in this topic.. it is about the UN...so stick to topic.

YES... you have made another point that is very important... gosh.. why have a system of government that does not have arguments or debates.. lets just tell the people what to do. You don't like it when local government does that.
The UN wants One Government... they want all of us to send a Senator to the One Government and have one body that covers EVERYONE.
