Why do people observe Good Friday?

Why Friday?

will tell you that he is an expert in Scripture. He assures you that Hell is not real and that Jesus is not YHWH.

Scholars will tell you they know it all. They have jobs in universities and seminaries etc. They preach the Word of God or write books on it.They ALL tell you that Jesus was crucified on a Friday.

The Bible does not say that.In fact the Bible appears to be absolutely showing that the cricifixion took place on a Thursday.

So my question is simple. Why would they believe anything these people say when the get the simple things so wrong?

Secondly many many people will say that the Bible translations are correct. There is a KJV only movement and they will tell you tat the KJV must be followed.

If you tell them the Bible is mistranslated they go beserk.

So if any one is interested I will show you through the Bible that not only was the crucifixion on a Thursday and not Friday that also the Bible is mistranslated.

If anyone wants to make fun or start a fight they will be reported and ignored. If anyone wants to search for the truth I am here to help you find the truth.I do not want to fight.I just want you to search for and find the truth.

I think most of us have found our own truth and not necessarily looking for it anymore.

I hope you are well and there is some laughs, fun, light and love in ur life every day.

I beleive something completely different but I would never argue against someones beliefs cos they are theirs,  they own them.

Thereis only one truth. If you have an idea of truth that differs to what is actually true then you have not found truth.

If people are willing to live and let live and accept you as you are whether they have the same beliefs as you or not why are you not prepared to do the same for them?

I don't accept that Pepe was telling you anything, it was a question.

Why are you so sure your truth is correct?

I don't mind what day Jesus was crucified, Thursday or Friday doesn't matter 2014 years later? but since it is the National day, the designated holiday, we go with that.

Roman Catholics:

DAYS  OF  PENANCE

1.   Rules for Lent follow in (a), (b), and (c).
2.   Abstinence from meat, and fasting, are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
3.   On all other Fridays of the year the law of the common practice of penance is fulfilled by performing any one of the following:

(a) prayer – for example,  Mass attendance; family prayer; a visit to a church or chapel; reading the Bible; making the Stations of the Cross;  praying the rosary.
(b) self-denial – for example, not eating meat; not eating sweets or dessert; giving up entertainment to spend time with the family; limiting food and drink so as to give to the poor of one’s own country.
(c) helping others – for example, special attention to someone who is poor, sick, elderly, lonely or overburdened.

All who have completed their eighteenth year and have not yet begun their sixtieth year are bound to fast.  All who have completed their fourteenth year are bound to abstain.

LENT LASTS FROM ASH WEDNESDAY (9TH FEBRUARY) TO THE MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER EXCLUSIVE (24TH MARCH).  ON GOOD FRIDAY AND, IF POSSIBLE, ALSO ON HOLY SATURDAY UNTIL THE EASTER VIGIL, THE EASTER FAST IS OBSERVED.

PASCHAL  PRECEPT

Each of the faithful is obliged to receive Holy Communion at least once a year.  This is to be done between Ash Wednesday, 9th February, and Trinity Sunday, 22nd May, 2005 unless for a good reason it is done at another time during the year.  All the faithful are obliged to confess their grave sins at least once a year.

I am sure I am correct in matters for Scripture because the Bible says what it says.

Does it matter if we observe Friday for Good Friday?NO!I celebrate it myself. But is it the correct day?NO!

The point is this.If they got such a simple thing wrong why would anyone accept what they say in the hard things?

It was not a Friday. Not possible and the Bible shows that.I find it interesting and people want tolearn they will ask and I will show.If you want to know why it could not be a Friday I will show you.It is easy to show it was  not a Friday and easy to find the correct day.
