Why do women choose to be Muslims?

I know no one here are really ridgey didgey Muslims. But I'm just curious how women rationalize choosing Islam as a guide to life??? If you were in their shoes, how would you justify it? 

WHat does Islam provide these women that other religion can't??? Islam is the fastest growing religion even in Western countries. THere must be something attractive about it for women. 

I'm not talking about women who are indoctrinated as kids and brainwashed but women who have the option of choice later in life. 

I just want to hear logical and rational reasons why YOU THINK these women choose to become the whole hog of burkas/hijabs wearing muslims??

That is another misconception (no pun intended) about Catholicism on your part  but I will leave it for another, relevant discussion.

Didn't even notice it until you mentioned it. Tell me a good logical rational reason why someone who eat meat would not eat pork?

There was this doco called Slumming it With Sheik Hilaly or something (on NITV no less) the other day.

Was a funny scene, this newlywed couple sitting at their kitchen table, discussing with the interviewer when exactly the new wife would take the head covering.

The husband is saying how he expects her to take it sooner rather than later, but IT"S HER CHOICE, but you know if she doesn't take it sooner rather than later, then he will make her, BUT IT"S HER CHOICE.

And the wife is nodding and agreeing and saying she doesn't really want to take it, but she will definitely take it so her girl child grows up knowing it is right, and she knows she HAS TO TAKE IT, BUT IT IS HER CHOICE.

OMG I think it is this kind of bizarre double think that is the reason bob.

:^O  You can't have it both ways, Bob.  You have told me that religion precludes rational thinking.

I don't actually know who has more children, religious or non religious.  As you know, I grew up in a country where almost 100% of the population was Catholic.  It was more common to see one or two child families especially in the city areas.

You might want to do some research about Soviet pronatalism and the Nazi Lebensborn program.
