Why do you look older in a photo

When I look in the mirror, I look ok but when I have a photo taken everything seems to have headed south of where it is supposed to be and there are more wrinkles than a pug dog.
Now I swear that I cannot see any of this in the mirror.
Perhaps I have a magic age reducing mirror, anyone else find this?

It's to do with the dimension of what we see.....when we look in a mirror ..... as opposed to what a photo shows.

Like the 3D movies/ I think

Welll, I don't know for sure, but when I look in the mirror I don't usually have my glasses on.

When I look at photos, I do!  Smiley Wink

Funny about the photos, I showed my 5 year old grandson a photo of me that was about 15 years old, he looked at me and said were you older then Nana.

I laughed and must admit I felt good ๐Ÿ™‚

I photograph badly too and have always wondered why some are and aren't photogenic.

It happens with my dogs too, I have one dog that photos dont do it justice.
