His overall dimeaner this past week has been interesting. He certainly looks anxious.
So why not take Rudd on in a debate as Rudd suggests? It might be a good opportunity for Abbott to promote his policies.

The economy is not a static thing. There will always be things to fix, to prompt it to grow...and that's done best by a labor government because they care. Cuts to the bone will shrink our economy and cause hardship to all but the elite.
I'm guessing you're an elite to be so dedicated to a liberal govt?
"Because they care", sorry but I think that is a very pathetic comment. No politician cares unless they benefit in the polls.
You say cuts to the bone, I would like you to clarify this statement as I have read it before in this thread and need to know exactly what you mean and what [prrof you have because LNP has not released a policies saying they will "cut jobs to the bone"
Unfortunately the "vote grabbing" jobs created by Labor are unaffordable, even Captain Chaos will have to cut jobs in the public sector or print more money.
It's called get off your proverbial and look and get a job, it may not be the perfect job but no matter what you do or want to do there are jobs out there.
You don't have to be an "elite" to vote for a party who will stimulate small business which will employ people, isn't that what it is all about ?

So you think that by throwing thousands of people on dole will help our economy? Yes, jobs are being lost, but also created, that is why our unemployment rate is now quite steady, despite some major factory closures.
Why are you saying that thousands (a bit of an exaggeration me thinks) will be out of work and have to be forced onto the dole ?
Where are jobs being created other than the "vote grabbing" jobs created under Gillard ?
Sometimes it is harder to make an unpopular decision and we need a leader with "guts"
and the tenacity to get this country back in the black and debt free.
My suggestion is not who you think it might be, left unsaid.

Tone needs to tell Julie Bishop to settle pettle, she's looking and sounding very desperate and foolish.

So, why do you say that ? It's amazing the amount of posters here that think they know how people think, I guess I could say the same about some posters, present poster included, even though I don't know you or how you think.

I am allowed to have an opinion, right?
She has made some silly comments to the media since Kevin Rudd's appointment, I will say it again, she's looking and sounding foolish and desperate.

"I don't believe anyone should be fooled by Kevin Rudd's pious claims to appoint more women or his calls for more compassion in politics when he has the political blood of Australia's first female prime minister dripping from his hands," Ms Bishop said"
As if she really cares about Julia Gillard :^O I bet she has teeth marks in her tongue.
