that a single working mum who has a moderate to servere hearing loss in both ears and was born with this not entitled to a pension card to help her keep her hearing aids going in working order to be able to continue to work ?
Yet a mum who is very over weight doesnt work who had an operation on her knee and now months and months later plays on that because she doesnt want to have to go out and work gets pt on a disabilty pension and gets the card till thy decide what to do .
If the hearing impaired mums hearing aids stop working she cant hear very much at all so this then becomes a saftey hazard at work .....

Because as long as there are systems in place to help the disadvantaged, there will always be those who find ways to rort them.
As to the 'single working mum' - without knowing how much she is earning, that is a meaningless decscription - Gina Rhinehart is a single working mum.

She may be earning too much to be eligible. Is it possible she could contact the deaf association? She may be able to access help another way?
